The last work of the triptych dealing with Latvian mythology ‘Meža māte’ loosely adopts the qualities of the Latvian goddess of forest. Mysterious and rushed atmosphere, as if the viewer is interrupting some sort of an intense event or situation which is left unclarified. The basis for this painting were two photographs that I took of a friend and artist in the forest where I grew up. The traditional descriptions are challenged.
