Part of the series based on my grandfather’s photography collection revealing life under Soviet occupation. This diptych portrays my dad’s brother or my uncle. The first painting depicts him as a 6 year old with a typical Soviet toy - a very realistic fake gun, and the second painting depicts him as an 18 year old mobilized in the Soviet army.
